Nursery Admissions Information

Harvey Road School is a non-selective maintained school that works in close partnership with Hertfordshire County Council.

As a one form entry school we have a very professional, yet family-oriented approach to supporting your child.  At Harvey Road School we understand the need for children to learn in a caring, safe and challenging environment that reflects our school motto:  Be Happy; Show Respect; Seek Success.

Children from the age of 3 upwards can join our Nursery and explore many unique and wonderful learning opportunities through play and learning together.  Our child-centred approach ensures that every child receives the support and encouragement they need to succeed through exploring our wise range of facilities and resources available.

Our experienced Nursery team, led by a fully qualified teacher, plan and deliver a range of bespoke experiences that link very effectively with our Reception class to ensure that our expectations, practices and relationships are consistent, so leading to a calm, happy and effective transition into our Reception class.

Children attend our Nursery every day from 9.00am to 12.00pm. We also offer afternoon sessions from 12-3.15pm under the 30 hours free childcare scheme for qualifying parents. If you do not qualify for the scheme but are looking for afternoon sessions in addition to the morning, then this will be available for a cost of £16 per session.                   

Applications for these places will open when nursery offers are made.
